Celebrating maths success
Our students have been showcasing their mathematical talent in two major national competitions this term, achieving fantastic results and gaining valuable experience along the way.Senior Maths Team Challenge Regional Final
Four of our students represented Beauchamp City Sixth Form at the Senior Maths Team Challenge regional final. Competing against some of the top independent schools across the East Midlands, they performed brilliantly and finished 11th out of 18 schools.
The team enjoyed the experience and showed great teamwork and problem-solving skills. Our Year 12 students are already keen to return next year and aim even higher.
Senior Maths Challenge 2025
This year, 148 of our students took part in the Senior Maths Challenge – a national competition designed to test advanced mathematical thinking. We are proud to share that 109 students achieved a bronze, silver or gold certificate, which is an impressive 74% success rate compared to the national average of 60%.
Ten students qualified for the follow-on Senior Kangaroo event in November, and one student earned a place in the prestigious British Maths Olympiad Round One. These achievements highlight the dedication and talent of our students and the strength of our maths provision.
