Hinal’s passion for STEM, nurtured at Beauchamp City Sixth Form, has led her to study Chemical Engineering at the University of Sheffield, where she is thriving both academically and beyond the classroom.Hinal’s favourite subjects at Beauchamp City Sixth Form — Physics, Chemistry, and Maths — have shaped her future and she is now studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
Reflecting on her time at Sixth Form, Hinal highlights the strong academic and personal support she received:
“In terms of UCAS applications, we were provided with ample guidance from staff, as well as talks from external professionals. Mock interviews and academic support were also invaluable, especially for competitive applications.”
This structured support helped Hinal transition smoothly to university life. Now in her first year, she is actively involved in student life as an Academic Rep for her course and a Student Ambassador for the university. She has also embraced extracurricular opportunities, joined the Space Society and taken part in a rocketry competition, alongside networking events and student-led projects.
Hinal credits Beauchamp City Sixth Form with giving her the confidence and preparation to succeed in higher education. Looking ahead, Hinal hopes to pursue a career in chemical engineering, combining her academic knowledge with practical experience gained through university projects.
