Ben Hayward
Inspired by excellent teaching and encouragement at Beauchamp City, Ben has gone on to study Medicine at Cambridge and is now confidently working towards a career as a doctor.Ben’s journey to studying Medicine at Cambridge began with the inspiration and support he received during Sixth Form.
His favourite subjects at school were Biology and Chemistry, and those interests shaped his future. Reflecting on his time at Beauchamp City Sixth Form, Ben credits the school for its role in his success:
“I thought the teaching was fantastic—it really helped me understand and develop an interest in the subjects. The school encouraged me to broaden my horizons and apply to universities like Cambridge, supporting me with BMAT and interview prep.”
After leaving Beauchamp City, Ben began studying Medicine at Homerton College, Cambridge, where he is now in his second year.
“I’m really loving it—I’m learning so much and looking forward to working as a doctor,” he explains.
Outside of his studies, Ben spends time mentoring, tutoring, and working during holidays, all of which help him develop valuable people skills for his future career in medicine.
Looking ahead, Ben is excited to continue his journey toward becoming a doctor—a goal that started with the encouragement and support he received at Beauchamp City Sixth Form.
